2021 Honda Pilot Engine Power

2021 Pilot vs 2021 Atlas: Performance

To keep up with the hustle and bustle of your family life, you’ll need a refined and versatile performance. Luckily, both of these models provide just that.

Standard in the VW Atlas is a 2.0L 4-cylinder engine. This generates up to 235 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque. This gives you the power to seamlessly maneuver through city traffic and the strength to make a presence on the road.

However, the Honda Pilot is a tad more impressive. With its standard 3.5L V6 engine, you’ll see a horsepower output of 280 paired with 262 lb-ft of torque, making sure your drives are backed by more power.

Additionally, the 2021 Pilot also comes paired with a 9-Speed Automatic Transmission (9AT), giving you better and more precise handling than the 8-speed automatic transmission in the Atlas. For extra traction, all-wheel drive (AWD) is available in each model.

Honda Pilot Interior

Honda Pilot vs Volkswagen Atlas: Interior Space

With three rows in both SUVs, you’ll be able to easily pack up the family and get on the road quickly. Though each offers ample space inside, there are some differences when it comes to interior room.

The cabin of the 2021 Pilot can seat up to eight passengers standardly, while the VW Atlas maxes out at seven passengers. This may result in multiple trips or the need for a separate car if you have a large family or if your kids want a friend to tag along.

The cargo space in the Honda Pilot is also larger than the VW Atlas, coming in at 109 cubic feet of cargo volume when the back rows are folded down. The Atlas boasts only 96.8 cubic feet of cargo volume when the rear seats are flat.

Honda Pilot Interior Technology

Pilot vs Atlas: Technology

As modern vehicles, you can expect tons of progressive technologies in the Pilot and the Atlas. In both models, you’ll have streamlined connectivity, thanks to an available 8-inch touchscreen and a suite of driving aids that promote safer driving.

There are some amenities that are available in the Honda Pilot that aren’t in the VW Atlas, though. This includes a rear-seat entertainment system, CabinControl®, and more.

2021 Honda Pilot vs 2021 VW Atlas: The Choice Is Yours

With spacious interiors, tons of technology, and a great power output, the Pilot and Atlas are both great for your San Antonio, Schertz, and Alamo Heights, TX, commutes. If you’re looking for an elevated performance, more cargo and passenger space, and Honda-exclusive technologies, the 2021 Pilot will be perfect for you.
