First opened in 1929, Cool Crest is one of the oldest mini golf courses in the world. Today, it’s a great location for people of all ages to have fun. Whether you are taking someone out on your first date or anniversary, mini golf is a wonderful place to make lasting memories.
Bring the kids or your group of friends and play through the Old Course, a remodeled version of the original course built in 1929. You could also check out the New Course, which was built around 1957. Each course features concrete fixtures and gorgeous plant life to make every game feel like an adventure.
Come back later for date night and visit the Metzger Biergarten. You’re sure to have a memorable night thanks to everything this space has to offer. There are over 25 types of beer and wine to choose from, live music, and food trucks. Check the calendar for scheduled performances and food trucks and enjoy a fun night out!
Natural Bridge Caverns
Discovered in 1960 by four college students, Natural Bridge Caverns is a great experience for someone looking to do something active. Explore the largest underground attraction in Texas while taking in the breathtaking views and learn a little about how these formations are made.
Choose among three underground tours. The Discovery Tour will take you 180 feet underground through the largest show cavern in Texas. The Hidden Passages Tour will take you through a hidden system of underground chambers filled with rare formations.
If you can’t choose, try out the Combo Tour, which will allow you to experience both and see all of the incredible ever-evolving formations found in this cave system. Check out the additional exciting surface attractions for everything from climbing and zip line activities to gem and fossil mining.
San Antonio Botanical Garden
If you are looking to spend a peaceful afternoon taking in gorgeous views, check out the San Antonio Botanical Garden. With stunning colors and plants year-round as well as new events and exhibits, there is always something new to see.
Take the kids through the Family Adventure Garden and let them run, jump, and play as much as they want. You could take some time to appreciate the tranquility of Kumamoto En, an authentic Japanese garden. Explore the Lucile Halsell Conservatory and see exhibits featuring exotic plants from around the world. Or visit the Texas Native Trail to see all the diverse plant life found in our state.
